Spring Cleaning: Get Organized

03-25-2014

Spring is here! And there’s no better time to get organized.

Check out these clever tips for tidying up your apartment and making the most of your living space.

A bunch of binder clips with usb connectors attached to them

1. Got tangled power cords?  We’ve got a cheap and easy solution: binder clips. Just clip them to the back of your desk and use the loops to hold your cords.

2. An adhesive magnetic strip keeps metal office supplies, like scissors and pens, from cluttering your workspace.  Attach memos with a paper clip.

3. Keep hair styling tools out of cabinets and off your sink or counter with PVC pipe.  Bonus: this fix also keeps cords in place.

4. A simple rod in your under-the-sink cabinets frees up space.  Hang spray bottles, scrub brushes, and dish rags on it.

5. Organize your measuring cups on hooks inside a kitchen cabinet.  Before adding the hooks, slap on a coat of chalkboard paint so you can add handy measurement conversions.

6. Store bath linens on a wall with easy “shelving.”  Just nail them to the wall between the weave of the baskets.
